I visited Kenya once again in 2009 during the month of August for ten nights on safari, together with Lilani. However, on this occasion, I visited during mid August. The first three nights we stayed at Rikoro tented camp close to the Masai Mara River where we had several sightings of wildebeest crossing the river. But the water level was unusually low compared to previous years, which resulted wildebeest to cross the river without fear.
Our next destination was Governors camp, two hours drive from Rikoro for further three nights when my nephew Indu and his wife, Sanwanda from Sri Lanka joined us for the rest of the tour including two nights at Lake Nakuru and the last two nights at Amboseli National Park.
During our stay at Governor’s we had many sightings of the predators of the savannah but the images taken of three cheetah brothers killing a wildebeest and a female leopard with an impala kill during this visit were kept on my picture library.
